Female Hygiene/Sanitary Pad Provision for teenage girls in Ebonyi State

This was our first outreach for the year 2021 and it is dedicated to women.

It held on World NGO day.

-We went with as much sanitary pads as we could afford and every female within the reproductive age who showed up went home with 6 months supply of sanitary pad.

-We gave series of talks, handled by members of the UCF team and we taught them on female hygiene especially during menstruation, correct use of sanitary pads, how to monitor one’s menstrual cycle better, and we discouraged Female Genital Mutilation using relevant information.

-We distributed 3 full bags of clothing donated by people for the villagers.

-10 women were gifted with brand new wrappers.

9 of them are widows and some of them got cash for upkeep as well.

-UCF paid tuition for 16 kids belonging to the 9 widows who came out on this day.

-We took down the names of all the widows and we have are in contact with them through a community representative so that whenever we want to do something more for them, we could get to them.

The information exists also to expose their needs to other well meaning individuals and organizations who would want to help them further through us or however.

APPRECIATION

We are grateful to everyone for your continued love, support and prayers.

We pray for you, we love you and we are encouraged to keep this going….

Special thanks to our trustees and partners, volunteers and donors who believe in what we do and support initiatives for rural communities that not remarkably on government radar.

May the blessings associated with these painful sacrifices not elude you and your families.

As we meet the needs of our brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers left to I’ll fate in the rural communities, may we not struggle to have our own needs met.

We pray for you all and we love you passionately.

It was a very stressful day today but as usual, our attitude beat it and our gaze is fixed on the next assignment……
